Setting goals is tricky business. We have all been there before. We have all set that health goal to lose weight, to exercise, to drink more water, to… but then we so easily slip back to old habits. Can this year be different for you, for me? YES! This can be the year, the 12 months, the 366 days (Surprise, it’s a leap year) in which we make a change that will affect our quality and length of life. Stick with me, studies show that attacking goals together is a precursor to success. For me, this set of articles is personal. I am a 38 year old woman in the overweight category. I have sore, noisy knees a busy life and a need for better health. Join me. As we start 2016, I will research and publish on a variety of health topics including: vitamins, minerals, bacteria, good fats, sugars, metabolism, exercise and more. Let’s take this one day at a time. What can you do today? I can walk for an hour (yes, I know it is cold and rainy out, but that does not change what I need). I intend to print and use this calendar to mark the days I exercise with an ‘X’. Because I know that exercise is only part of the battle, I will use the MyFitnessPal app to track my caloric and nutritional intake. I will circle each day that I stay under my caloric intake goal. So here is to today – what can you do today to change your future?
